Resolved Question: How to add an additional switch to a wall for a fan/light to a ceiling that has no existing wiring?

I want to install a new ceiling fan/light. Their is no existing wiring to ceiling. Their is one switch in the room that controls an outlet. Is it possible to run wiring from the existing switch to an additional switch that will control the ceiling fan/light? That will make it a 2 gang box. One switch for the outlet and one switch for the ceiling fan/light. 14/2 wire is currently running to the switch controlling the outlet. I have 50 feet of 14/2 from a previous project I can use for the ceiling fan/light. 14/3 is probably preferable for a fan/light, but is it acceptable to use 14/2 for the fan/light, and how would the diagram work?
